An appeal to the youth and to all others

The author Dieter Duhm is co-founder of the Center for Peace Research Tamera and has been politically active for more than 50 years. During this time he has seen the rise and fall of many movements and revolutions, and he would like to share his wealth of experience with the youth of today so that the mistakes of the past are not repeated. The common vision is to create a livable and peaceful future on earth in harmony with the cosmic order.
I am 76 years old, still as politically active today as I was in the student movement of 1968, but with experiences to share because I have come to understand what has caused almost all movements to fail so far.
Today, many thousands of young people are taking to the streets for climate protection and system change. Thank you for that! I can only hope that this movement gains enough inner strength and stamina to actually lead to a system change. That would really be a historical turnaround, because for centuries people have been fighting against exploitation, oppression and violence, and for centuries they have been losing their fight against the superiority of the existing system.

And yet this struggle can no longer be stopped, because everywhere there are people, especially young people, who cannot bear the barbarity of the existing society. They are fighting among the Lakota Indians at Standing Rock (USA), they are fighting in the Hambach Forest in Germany, they are fighting in the peace community of San José de Apartadó in Colombia, they are fighting for the restoration of Riace (Italy), they are fighting on the rescue ships for the refugees in the Mediterranean, they are fighting … on all continents.
And again and again, after some time, many lose their strength, disappointed and discouraged, they withdraw, become sick or drug addicts or criminals. I myself experienced and participated in this kind of struggle for four years in the Marxist Left in Germany (1968). Until I realized that we need a different solution.
The idea of the old revolutions is over, nothing better ever came to earth through violence.
The whole world needs a new information. How do we create this new information and how do we bring it to the world? That has been the question and the task ever since.
We thank you for the collective call for a future worth living. May your worldwide rebellion find its inner goal, a goal for all humanity. The few who today have the courage to step out of this collective hypnosis need support in solidarity. Use your space vicariously for all those who do not have this opportunity now and therefore urgently need your help. Use your anger not only against the system and its henchmen, but use it to throw off the old from yourselves.
We are not the product of a society, a tradition, a family, we are human beings.
Free yourselves from the legacy of a terrible historical past.
Let’s protect together the life that is being destroyed today in the name of corporations and governments everywhere. There is a socialism that is beyond all parties and ideologies: it is the socialism of trust, cohesion and mutual support. It is thoughts of truth and thoughts of a partisan love that carry the power of survival today and lead to the knowledge we all need for our healing. It is so simple, elementary and true – and if we can do it, it will create a field of trust that can be effective even in crisis areas.

In the following, I would like to say things that could transform the great rebellion into a concrete force that can no longer be captured by the existing system. The current demonstrations for a future worth living, for climate protection and nature conservation, for human rights and animal rights are signs of a global awakening in almost all continents. But they need a common goal, otherwise they will lose their confrontation with the existing system. The goals can only be enforced if there is a clear vision for the necessary system change.
System change! What does that mean in our time, in a time where many millions of dollars are spent annually for a purposeful misinformation (trivialization) on the subject of the world climate … in a time where it was forbidden to save refugees who drown in the Mediterranean … in a time where the prosperity on one side is produced by unspeakable robberies and cruelties on the other side? Not to mention the fate of children in war zones, the fate of animals in slaughterhouses, animal laboratories or fur farms …
To overcome the capitalist system, we need a positive vision for a post-capitalist order of life. We need a common vision for us, our children, for all those who are now on the run and have no home, a vision for victims and perpetrators, a vision for love, also for our relationship to animals, to nature and to the whole cosmic world, from which we all come. This vision is not an invention of human beings, for it exists as a latent reality in the whole blueprint of life.
The living systems of the earth and the universe follow an inner matrix that is directed towards healing and unity, towards higher development through cooperation and togetherness.
Every disease is healable, every conflict solvable, when the human frequency field connects with the frequency of this cosmic field. In this field the concepts of exploitation, enmity and war are not present. Where people meet in this new order of life, enemies are transformed into friends. And this is what it is all about: to establish this order of life in real terms on earth, an order of trust, love, cooperation and solidarity. This dream will become a reality as soon as the first groups on earth have begun to recognize and realize it. We are talking here about the “Plan of Global Healing Biotopes” (for more information, see my book “Terra Nova. Global Revolution and Healing of Love”).
The tortured earth can be transformed into a paradise within a short period of time and bind large amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere if we cooperate with nature and obey its laws of life. Water, energy and food are available to all people for free if we follow the logic of nature and not the laws of profit. But the problem we face today is more complicated, because humans and nature form an energetic unity in the biosphere. In other words, the environmental crisis of destroyed ecosystems and the in-world crisis of destroyed human relationships and communities are two sides of the same overall problem.
On the human level we need new perspectives for living together without fear and violence and without the traumatic remnants of our historical origins, we need them especially in the more intimate zones of sexuality, love and partnership, because the deepest (and most secret) crisis area of our time is the relationship among people.
There can be no peace in the world as long as there is (latent) war in love.
We achieved many goals in the time of the student revolution 50 years ago – but then the struggle began inside the groups, the struggle for the right ideology, for recognition, power and sex! Nobody was prepared for that. Nobody knew how much the external violence of the system and the internal struggle of the people came from the same source. If we want to succeed today, we have to build places where truth and interpersonal solidarity can be learned.
The vision of a healed world cannot, of course, be enforced by coercion or violence, nor by conventional human and technical means of communication alone; the opposing forces are still too strong for that. But besides the mechanistic logic of previous thinking in the fields of politics and ecology, there is a completely different logic: it opens up to us when we direct our consciousness to the functioning of living systems. Resonance instead of hard power is one of their secrets of success. This means: Information which is in accordance with the inner matrix of life and its universal ethics spreads by itself wherever there are receptive people and groups.

We use the term “morphogenetic field formation” of the English biologist Rupert Sheldrake for this amazing phenomenon. When the vision of a new culture arises and is lived out in real terms in the first communities, the world enters an “excited state”, because what is happening now in the first places is in resonance with the higher order in the blueprint of life. All people are genetically connected to this higher order. Many groups will join the new information. The genetic code for a new civilization is emerging.
The information for a future worth living does not contain the revolutionary fighting slogans of the old time, but aims at an absolute partisanship for life, at the inner connection with the higher laws of the spiritual world and at the togetherness of all beings in the great family of life. We are living in the time of a great epochal change, the change from patriarchy to a culture of partnership, from the hologram of violence to the hologram of trust. The more people around the world connect to this global process, the faster the cruel time of wars can end. It could happen very quickly.

Dieter Duhm, born 1942, psychoanalyst, art historian, doctor of sociology and author of many books (among others “Angst im Kapitalismus”, “Der unerlöste Eros”, “Die heilige Matrix”), initiator of the plan of the healing biotopes and co-founder of Tamera. Dieter Duhm was a mastermind of the German student movement after ’68 and coined the subjective factor with the sentence: “Revolution without emancipation is counter-revolution”.
